We are always looking for new riders no matter what age. If you think you've got what it takes to become a Cycle Speedway rider come and join us on one of our relaxed training nights. Our friendly members are always happy to see a new face and offer as much advice as possible.
Training sessions are held every Tuesday evening down at the track from early February to late October. Sessions for the junior and less experienced riders start at 6.00pm and run until the senior session at 7.30 which usually lasts for around 2 hours. Feel free to pop along to either session.
What does it cost?
Remarkably little! We don't charge anything for your first few sessions while you get a taster of what the sport is about and are confident that you will want to return week in week out.
After that we have a range of memberships depending on your age and what you want to get out of the sport. For 2015 a full senior membership is £70 for the year, while your first year is only £10 no matter what your age. These also include a free membership to British Cycling!
The club also subsidises the travel costs of getting to away matches and events.
What do I need?
All we ask is that you bring clothing that can cover you from the neck down, long arms and trousers.
We have a large range of bicycles and equipment available to borrow for training sessions and matches, including helmets, gloves, and other protective equipment. If you have your own then thats a bonus.
