Rich started riding in 1973 for the Anlaby Aces team in the then Humberside League and regional leagues until the Hull club was formed in 1979. Has continued to ride ever since, with a few breaks due to family commitments. Still riding but on a more limited and slower basis. Works as a local government officer and is married to Debbie with a son Robert. Away from the sport Rich is a season pass holder at Hull City and as well as the home games spends much of the winter following them around the country.
