School's Out is a summer sports initiative set up by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (previously 'Summer Scorcha'). It aims to get children into sport and provides a route to trying new activities throughout the summer break.
The club has successfully run a series of cycling days for the past 4 years which are always extremely popular.
Participants get a crash course in the sport of cycle speedway on our purpose built facility and eventually get the chance to race each other for a number of different prizes.
The scheme is always well supported and we often see riders return year on year. It provides a great first step for getting into cycling sport and has previously introduced national stars such as our very own Adam Stephenson.
Bikes and helmets are provided, just wear a long sleeved top and trousers!
For more information on the sport itself please see the about us page. We hope to see you soon!
